Frequently asked questions
- What is a Words With Friends helper?
- A Words With Friends helper takes the letters on your tile rack and instantly shows every valid word you can play, so you can find a strong move without guessing letter combinations by hand.
- How do I use this Words With Friends helper?
- Type the letters from your rack into the search box (use ? for a blank tile) and every valid word those letters can form will appear, sorted by length or point value so you can quickly compare options.
- Are Words With Friends tile values the same as Scrabble?
- They are very close but not identical — Words With Friends uses a slightly different letter distribution and a couple of point values differ from standard Scrabble tiles. The scores shown here use standard tile values, which still reliably highlight your longer and rarer-letter words.
- Does it account for blank tiles?
- Yes. Use a ? in place of a blank tile and the tool will treat it as a wildcard for any letter when searching for valid words.
- How is the point value calculated for each word?
- Each word's score is the sum of its letters' standard Scrabble tile values. It doesn't include board bonus squares like Double Letter or Triple Word Score, since there's no board — it's just the word's raw point value, useful for comparing which words are worth more. E.g.: • A, E, I, O, U, L, N, S, T, R = 1 point • D, G = 2 points • B, C, M, P = 3 points • F, H, V, W, Y = 4 points • K = 5 points • J, X = 8 points • Q, Z = 10 points (rarest, highest value) "Summed" means the site adds up the value of every letter in the word. For example, "APPLE" = A(1) + P(3) + P(3) + L(1) + E(1) = 9 points.
- Is this Words With Friends helper free to use?
- Yes, this tool is completely free with no signup required.
